Parlays with the math stated
A parlay isn't one bet — it's a probability tax. We explain every leg, how combining them changes the risk, and size each to its risk class.

How we grade parlay risk
Each parlay gets a risk class and a unit size to match. We never recommend chasing losses or doubling stakes after a loss.
| Risk class | Typical shape | Suggested size |
|---|---|---|
| Lower Risk | 2 correlated legs you'd bet anyway | 0.5u – 0.75u |
| Moderate | 3 legs, 1-2 correlated | 0.25u – 0.5u |
| Aggressive | 3-4 legs, mostly independent | 0.1u – 0.25u |
| Lottery / Long Shot | 4+ long-shot legs | ≤ 0.1u, or skip |
Matchup grades (A–E)
Each play also carries an A–E matchup grade for the current game — how favorable the opponent, pace, rest, and matchup context are for that specific wager. It is separate from confidence and never implies a guaranteed outcome.
Elite matchup — opponent/pace/rest all favor the play
Strong matchup — clear edge in 2+ factors
Neutral matchup — edge is situational, not structural
Tough matchup — one or more factors working against
Avoid matchup — too many factors against to recommend
